Introduction
My name is Wayne Langford and I am in the Specialist Degree program in Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began this program in the summer of 2015 and will graduate in the fall of 2016.
I received my undergraduate from Georgia State University in 1994 with a bachelor's degree in education. I began teaching at Lilburn Middle school in Gwinnett county in the fall of 1994. After two years in the classroom I become the local school technology coordinator for Lilburn Middle in 1996. In 1999 I obtained a master's degree in instructional technology from Georgia State University.
I am currently the local school technology coordinator at McConnell Middle School in Gwinnett county where I have worked since 2002. As a technology coordinator my responsibilities include providing vision, staff training, technology evaluation and purchasing decisions, overseeing local school technology support and aligning and coordinating my department's efforts with those of the local school improvement team and other stakeholders.
The purpose of this portfolio is to document mastery of the PSC instructional technology standards. You will find various artifacts and reflective prose linked from the above, drop-down menu labeled “Standards”. These artifacts and writings represent work I have completed during this program. I have enjoyed my time at Kennesaw State University and feel prepared to provide guidance to my faculty and staff as we continue to innovate and do our best to provide a world-class education for our students.
